Becky George is a proven movement leader with decades of experience, managing teams, building coalitions, and driving positive change.
For nearly two decades, her unwavering commitment has been centered on violence prevention, civil rights, and justice with a focus on communities pushed to the margins. She believes that lasting change is anchored in trust and building durable, intersectional movements that can truly shift power. Becky most recently served as the Chief Movement Building Officer at a national gun violence prevention organization. She oversaw pivotal aspects of the organization such as the national programs, partnership engagement, entertainment advocacy, and evaluation. Prior to that, she spent nearly 10 years at Planned Parenthood doing work ranging from – leading community healthcare outreach to spearheading the organization’s national Racial Equity Initiative.
Becky is a proud Malayalee and born and bred Texan, a proud child of immigrants, and a loud and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. She currently lives in Maryland with her incredible wife and toddler (with baby #2 on the way!).
