Ranak Patel

Ranak (she/her) is passionate about health and equity. She has advocated for the mental and physical health of underserved children and adults through her work in Baltimore, Maryland.

Most recently, Ranak was the project manager for fundraising and client events at Health Care for the Homeless, a health clinic in Baltimore, Maryland. She has also taught children in underserved communities, yoga to support them in healthy coping mechanisms and mentorship for the last five years. She continues her equity work through volunteering at Howard County’s Homelessness Awareness Committee.

Ranak also has a background in business operations, where she led a team of her own and assisted in hotel management and development. She has a deep affection for building relationships which stems from her rich Gujarati culture.

Ranak is currently pursuing an Executive M.P.A at American University and has a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship, a Nonprofit certification in “Leadership, Organizing and Action” through Harvard’s Kennedy School and a BA in Sociology from University of Maryland, College Park.

She lives in Maryland with her husband, two human children, and one fur baby. Ranak feels fortunate enough to have traveled to 50 countries. Her hobbies include swimming, hiking, and reading.
